Hi All

Here is an overview of our week at Nursery School:

Wow experience – This week the children made cinnamon swirls with Marlena, the learning intentions were for all children to use a range of tools independently with little support; to understand and respond to questions or conversations that interest them; and to begin using key vocabulary linked to this activity. Here is the link to the recipe so you can have a go at making these at home – https://bakingwithgranny.co.uk/wprm_print/easy-cinnamon-swirls

Indoor focus – The children embraced the Halloween theme (along with the staff) and had great fun in the witches’ kitchen making spider cobwebs, matching the correct number of legs to numbered spiders, finding out factual information about spiders, using tweezers to collect spiders from the water tray and mark making with a range of media.

Outdoor focus – The children had fun completing the Halloween scavenger hunt, making pumpkin ice tea, experimenting with cinnamon gloop, exploring different textures. They enjoyed practicing their fundamental skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, balancing and aiming, initiating and completing obstacle courses. The children had fun adding Autumn collections to the water tray and discovering if they float or sink and helping to wash equipment ready for next term.

Maths focus – This week the children have been recapping on counting and cardinality. During group times the children have been identifying numbers 1-6 (by rolling a dice) and then building a tower using the correct amount of bricks to represent the number. For our other maths group time we played ‘The Box Game’ where we counted a number of toys into a box, the children were then asked to represent the number using their fingers and the teacher wrote the numeral / pattern of number on the whiteboard for them to see. We did this several times using a range of numbers (1-5), at times the teacher added 1 more / less to embed and discuss and embed the concept of comparison between numbers of ‘more’ and ‘less’. The learning intention this week was for children to begin to count by rote by saying numbers in the correct order.

Phonic focus – The learning intention this week has been for the children to initiate a conversation through verbal / nonverbal communication and begin to use key vocabulary linked to their learning. Using the interactive white board / iPads the children were invited to choose a button and discover a mystery sound and think about what it could be, sharing their knowledge and understanding. For the other phonic session we used onomatopoeia farm sound cards and asked the children in turn to match the sound given them with the correct picture.

Core Song – Incy Wincy Spider (along with Tincy Wincey and Hugey Wugey) – See if they can remember these along with the actions and expression.

Poem – Pointed Hat

A little old lady with a tall pointed hat,
Knocked on my door with a rat-a-tat-tat.
I peered through the window to see who was there,
And off on her broomstick she flew through the air.

*This linked in well with our Halloween theme, see if your child can remember the words and actions to this short poem.

Reminders / Information

– Inset Day on Monday 04.11.24

– Term starts Tuesday 05.11.24

– Parking – Thank you again for not parking in the car park, although we are aware a few parents are still using the car park. We will continue to monitor the parking again next term at different drop off / collection times. We are spending a lot of time in discussions with the neighbours and they are sending daily emails with reports that parents are still using the private drive way. We are asking you to do this due to health and safety regulations and to safeguard everyone involved. I can’t express how much time is being spent trying to sort the current parking situation out. If problems continue we will have to look at further permanent measures to prevent this from continuing, which will impact the staff and the centre financially. Also, if walking up the private drive can we please ask that you take care and use the path provided. We are even at the point where we considering closing the back entrance meaning that everyone would have to use the front entrance, we do not want to do this but we are running out of options.

– Voluntary contributions – Thank you this is very much appreciated 😊

We have had a great term and you should all be proud of your children, they have settled back / into Nursery School well and are doing SO well. I hope you all have a a lovely break this half term and we look forward to seeing you next term.

Kind regards

Zoe

Hi All

Here is an overview of our week at Nursery School:

Wow experience – This week the children started the week by tasting sweet and sour foods with Jenny, surprisingly more children than we thought actually quite liked the sour taste. This interest stemmed from our poem last week when we explored the word ‘sour’ and what it meant. As the week went on the children enjoyed making baby chinos, the children investigated cinnamon in different forms and if keen they mixed it with some warm milk to taste the flavour.

Indoor focus – The children have been finding out about hibernation this week, they have been keen to find out information to gain a better understanding of what animals do in the winter. In the creative area the children have been printing with left over vegetables. This was a good opportunity to discuss likes and dislikes, recall any key vocabulary used when the children made soup last week and see if they could name all the different vegetables. We also used autumn colours – red and yellow and discussed mixing the two colours to create orange. In the block area the children had the opportunity to build towers and compare which had more and less blocks linking with our maths focus of comparison.

Outdoor focus – The children helped to create a cosy den linking to hibernation. There were lots of discussions around how some animals hibernate in the Winter where it is quiet and they feel safe, secure in a warm temperature. This was a great way to model, explore and encourage key vocabulary linked to hibernation.

Maths focus – This week the children have continued looking at comparison and for group times we explored one more and one less, they all had a 5 frame and were asked to show one bear, then add one more to show two and so on until they reached 5. Then we asked them to take one away to show 4, 3 etc. We also looked at longer and shorter by comparing pairs of objects to see if they understood this concept. Next week we will go back to recap on counting and cardinality to see what they have remembered.

Phonic focus – We had some fun experimenting with sounds, we played a game where we passed an animal sound around (by whispering) and then linked the sound with a animal when the last person revealed the sound they heard. We also played a game of ‘Simon Says’ where they had to listen and join in with given action.

NSPCC Pants (The Underwear Rule) – This week we have been talking PANTS to help children understand that their body belongs to them, and they should tell a safe adult they trust if anything makes them feel upset or worried. Discussing such topics helps children to understand that they have a right to say no and that if they need to speak out about something someone will listen. Here is the link to the NSPCC online page which gives you tips and advice to help keep your children safe. At school the children have particularly enjoyed the ‘Pantosaurus’ video / song, we have also discussed the ‘PANTS’ rules – https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/support-for-parents/pants-underwear-rule/

Core Song – Hickory Dickory Dock

Poem – 5 little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, ‘Oo, it’s getting late.’
The second one said, ‘There are witches in the air.’
The third one said, ‘Well I don’t care.’
The fourth one said,
‘Let’s run, run, run.’
The fifth one said,
‘Let’s have some fun.’
But oooh went the wind, and out went the light,
And five little pumpkins tumbled out of sight.

Reminders / Information

– Last day of term Friday 25.10.24

– Inset Day Monday 04.11.24

– Term starts Tuesday 05.11.24

– I need to let you know we have had a case of threadworm reported at Nursery school this week, please do keep an eye out for any signs / symptoms and treat accordingly. Here is the link to the NHS guidance –https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/threadworms/

– Lost property – If you have lost any of your child’s items of clothing, we have put anything we have found without names on the lost property table (by the back door in the lobby). Please do have a look as you walk past. If they are not claimed by the end of term we will put the items into our spare clothes or donate to charity. Thank you.

– Parking – Thank you for all your cooperation with the parking situation, it is very much appreciated. Can I remind you that, if you have permission to park in carpark due to having a disabled badge, you should park in the car park and not in the neighbours private drive way. Alison in the office will be issuing badges shortly that you can display in your car at drop off and collection, this will make it clear to all that you have permission. If anyone has a problem with anyone parking or believe that parents are not following the procedures in place, can I ask that you please speak directly to the school and we will sort it out. Please do not approach individuals as this can cause unnecessary upset to all and especially if children are present.

– Last call for voluntary contributions of £10 for this term, you can hand an envelope into the office or send a payment via a bank transfer to:

  • Account name: ACE Centre Nursery School Special Purposes Account
  • Account number: 30269247
  • Sort code: 20-03-84

Thank you to those of you who have already done this. It is very much appreciated. We use these donations towards cooking ingredients, playdough ingredients, to enhance areas of the environment and to top up snack if needed throughout the term.

I hope you all have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week.

Kind regards

Zoe

Hi All

Here is an overview of our week at Nursery School:

Wow experience – This the week the children made some vegetable soup, we first identified and explored all the different vegetables before the children helped to chop them up. Once chopped the children put the vegetables into the soup blender, we then added a stock cube and a little salt and pepper to give the soup some extra flavour. There were SO many learning opportunities within this activity, the children were engaged and determined to see the process through. The children all had the chance to try the soup once it was cooked if they wished, there were mixed reviews on how it tasted 😊

Indoor focus – The children were busy exploring and making animal homes with the lentils and natural materials in the sand tray. They enjoyed mixing and making new colours in the water tray using pipettes and exploring capacity using a range of different size containers. In the creative area the children made Autumn collages by combining different media and materials such as leaves and sticks. The children made playdough hedgehogs and were really interested in animals that hibernate which we will continue to explore next week. They used natural materials to make collections and were supported to recognise which collections had more / less, they were encouraged to explain their thinking to show their understanding of these concepts.

Outdoor focus – The children liked making their own nature wands this week, they crumbled leaves up and sprinkled them onto a star shape before attaching them to a lolly stick. The children enjoyed mixing up fairy liquid and water to make bubble solution and then persevered to blow some bubbles using their own bubble wands (pipe cleaners and lolly sticks) . The children used the guttering, stands and loose parts to make racing tracks for the small cars, trucks and trains. Jenny got the boom whackers out and the children had great fun making music with them along with other musical instruments.

Funky Pants – Dance and Movement Session – We were very lucky to have Hollie from ‘Funky Pants’ come and join us on Wednesday for a fabulous dance and movement session. The children really enjoyed her session and we hope to get Hollie to come again soon. Pre-School came and joined us which was nice as some of the children got to see their friends since moving up to Nursery school.

Maths focus – This week the children have continued looking at comparison. During group times the children had to beat the clock and see how many actions they could do in 10 seconds, recognising which action they did more of and which one they did less of and thinking why this may have been. The children also enjoyed estimating, where they had to guess how many objects, such as ladybirds, were in each jar, then together we counted the ladybirds from each jar to find out which had more / which had less and see if anyone had guessed correctly or was close.

Phonic focus – This week the children have continued to explore instrumental sounds, at group time they listened carefully to the sounds of 4 different instruments – xylophone, maraca, drum and bell. Their teacher then played one of the instruments that was hidden and the children had to identify which instrument she was playing. We also enjoyed a game of ‘Grandmothers Footsteps’ where the children had to decide what movement goes with which sound / instruments (e.g. bells for fairy steps and drum for giant steps).

Core Song – I’m a Little Hedgehog

Poem – A Basket of Apples

I’ve got a basket of apples, picked from a tree.
Apples rosy red for you, and shiny green for me.
Some of them are big, and some of them are small.
Some of them are oval, and some shaped like a ball.
Some of them are sour, and some of them are sweet.
Lots of lovely apples for you and I to eat.

*They were particularly good at pulling a sour face which was one of the actions in the poem.

Reminders / Information

– Can we please remind you to bring in some snack if at all possible as we are running low. Any day of the week is fine to bring it in. Thank you.

– Lost property – If you have lost any of your child’s items of clothing, we have put anything we have found without names on the lost property table (by the back door in the lobby). Please do have a look as you walk past. If they are not claimed by the end of term we will put the items into our spare clothes or donate to charity. Thank you.

– Voluntary contributions of £10 for this term are now due, you can hand an envelope into the office or send a payment via a bank transfer to:

Hi All

Here is an overview of our week at Nursery School:

This week we welcomed Sarah O’Leary to Nursery School, our interim headteacher. Sarah will be in school 2-3 days a week, she is very excited to meet you all 😊

Wow experience – The children made gingerbread men this week with Marlena, and they were keen, engaged and captivated by this activity. There were so many learning opportunities from naming ingredients, measuring ingredients, combining ingredients, kneading / rolling the dough, cutting out a gingerbread man. Once the gingerbread men were baked they had the chance to decorate them using gel pens and sprinkles.

Indoor focus – In the creative area the children had the chance to print using large stamps, nature and Autumnal colours. At the playdough table the children experimented combining natural resources such as pine cones, shells and leaves with the dough, and created individual masterpieces. In the maths area the children were busy measuring a range of quantities using the scales. We also enjoyed listening to some classical music while some of the children travelled around obstacles using the belly boards. The children were also keen to wash up in the water tray, they got stuck in with using brushes, bubbles and cloth’s to clean some of the items from our home area 😃

Outdoor focus – This week the children experimented with floating and sinking which stemmed from a child’s interest last week. The children all choose different objects and, before placing them into the water, they predicted if the item would float on top of the water or sink to the bottom. We discussed their reasoning, thinking about weight and what material the item was made from. The children also had fun printing leaves (card) using shaving foam and different colour dyes. They listened carefully to the instructions, they mixed the dye / foam, noticing the colours changing and created beautiful leaf prints. The children also enjoyed practising fundamental skills such as aiming, throwing, catching and kicking. Along with constructing and challenging themselves physically.

Forest School – This week the children listened to and discussed the story ‘Super worm’ and had the chance to make their own Super worm. They enjoyed using a range of mark making tools to decorate their own worms and then attached them to a lolly stick which they went on to use imaginatively within their play.

Maths focus – This week the children have been looking at comparison during group times we have been comparing more / less and the same through active games and songs.

Phonic focus – This week the children have explored instrumental sounds, they particularly loved an activity called ‘Adjust the volume’ where they each had an instrument and had to wait for instructions to tell them if they had play their instrument quietly or loudly. They also enjoyed adding new words to old songs, they were keen to add their own name and favourite characters / animals into their chosen songs. The children had a range of instruments to accompany their songs.

Core Song – Big Red Combine Harvester

Poem – Breezy Weather

Breezy weather. Freezy weather.
When the leaves fall, we all fall together.
Breezy weather. Freezy weather.
When the wind blows, we huddle together.

*Ask your child if they remember the words and actions to this short poem.

Reminders / Information

– We will be making some soup with the children next week, if possible could your child please bring in one vegetable from home, softer vegetables such as leeks, peppers, courgette, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, mushrooms etc, would be preferred but we will pre-cook some harder vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, parsnips to make chopping easier.

– Thank you to all of you that brought Autumn collections into school, please feel free to continue to collect more and bring them in next week.

– Voluntary contributions of £10 for this term are now due, you can hand an envelope into the office or send a payment via a bank transfer to:

  • Account name: ACE Centre Nursery School Special Purposes Account
  • Account number: 30269247
  • Sort code: 20-03-84

Thank you to those of you have already done this, it is very much appreciated. We use these donations towards cooking ingredients, playdough ingredients, to enhance areas of the environment and to top up snack if needed throughout the term.

Can you please like this memo, so we know you are accessing the memos we send on tapestry 👍

Wishing you all a great weekend

Kind regards

Zoe

Hi All

Here is an overview of our week at Nursery School:

Wow experience – This week the children have had the chance to make porridge linking to the story of ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. The children enjoyed naming, measuring and mixing the ingredients together and then choosing a topping from a selection of fruit and flavours. This initiated conversations about individual likes, dislikes and preferences.

Indoor focus – The children enjoyed incorporating a range of natural materials into their play this week such as painting and making collages with natural materials. They explored and identified minibeasts in the sand tray / soil, this got the children talking, where they asked lots of questions and compared the different minibeasts as they were imaginative in their play. We had a dinosaur swap in the water area with information displayed, the children had fun creating different scenarios in their small world play. A big hit this week were the belly boards, where the children had to use their core strength to navigate around the classroom. We also had some fun with drumming where the children experimented with sounds and rhythm. We also added natural herbs to the playdough area – mint, lavender and rosemary, this allowed for the children to use their senses, think about where herbs come from, what we use them for and to be creative within their malleable play.

Outdoor focus – The weather definitely played its part this week, but despite the rain, wind and cold the children got outside and had a great time embracing the opportunities, collecting rain water, splashing in the puddles, painting the fences, building sandcastles thinking about capacity / comparing different quantities and sizes, making Autumn collages and discussing the colours and shapes of the different leaves, filling containers / cups with shaving foam and making pretend smoothies along with practicing fundamental skills such as aiming, throwing, catching and kicking.

Forest School – We again had an open Forest school session on Thursday, where the children could come and explore the area. They continued to look for minibeasts and were super excited to find different stages of the life cycle of a ladybird – the larva, pupa and ladybird stages. Some children asked to make more bird feeders as the ones they had made last week had been eaten. We will start more formal forest school in term 2 – small groups every other week, I will let you know which group your child is in and which week.

Maths focus – This week we have continued to work on cardinality and counting, the children enjoyed group time activities / games such as ‘show me’ where each child rolled a dice or were shown a numeral and then had to identify the number, then choose an action such as clapping or jumping and then everyone represented this number by showing the correct number of actions to match number. During another group time we played a game where we pretended a soft toy was off on an adventure and needed some help to gather different amounts of things to take with them. The children really enjoyed identifying the numeral / pattern of each number and then going off and getting the items required. Maths is not only restricted to group times, it is everywhere and supported in play and our routines.

Phonic focus – This week the children have continued to explore environmental sounds, we have had fun matching animal sounds to the correct animal on a game called ‘Welcome to the zoo’ here is the link – https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/1/welcome-to-the-zoo.  We also had to use our listening ears when exploring sounds of items hidden in socks, the children could feel the items and then had to guess what was inside – we discovered leaves, pebbles, shells and some crunchy, crackly paper.

Core Song – I Can Sing a Rainbow – we introduced some sign language to go with this song which the children enjoyed, see if they can remember any?

Poem – Leaves Are Falling

Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
One fell on my nose.
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
One fell on my toes.
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
One fell on my head.
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
Yellow, Orange, Red.

*They liked physically pretending to be the leaves falling in this poem 😊

Reminders / Information

– One of our termly learning objectives is around ‘Autumn’, if you go on any walks this weekend if your child could take a little bag and collect some leaves, conkers (if ready), small sticks, pinecones to bring in that would be great. We will display them and use them in provision.

– Please do look out for individual memos about when your child is focus child. It is really important to us to get your input so we can look at current interests, what they already know and what they need to know next in all areas in their learning. It’s also useful for us to know if anything at home is impacting a child (remember, you can also talk to us at any time if you need our support you do not have to wait until your child is a focus child). You can speak to us at drop off / collection times or send a message to us via the messaging feature on tapestry or contact the office or me directly at zoe.wakefield@cnacecentre.co.uk

– Voluntary contributions of £10 for this term are now due, you can hand an envelope into the office or send a payment via a bank transfer to:

  • Account name: ACE Centre Nursery School Special Purposes Account
  • Account number: 30269247
  • Sort code: 20-03-84

We use these donations towards cooking ingredients, playdough ingredients, to enhance areas of the environment and to top up snack if needed throughout the term.

– Thank you SO much for your cooperation in the parking situation. The drive way leading up to the back of the school is owned by our neighbours and only staff, health visitors and those with a disability badge have access to the car park – this is to safeguard everyone. If you do use the drive way to walk / access school, please take care when walking up the drive and use the gate provided. Our caretaker Martin and staff will continue to regularly monitor the parking situation. As I have said previously, we understand our parking situation is not ideal but it has to be the same rule for everyone to ensure the message is clear, this includes breakfast club / Ace Extra drop off and collections.

Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week

Kind regards

Zoe

Hi All

Here is an overview of our week at Nursery School:

Wow experience – This week the children have had the chance to make strawberry and banana smoothies, when they followed the recipe and method. The children really enjoyed this experience, we modeled and encouraged them to the following key vocabulary – strawberries, bananas, milk, honey, ice, ingredients, slice, chunks, blend, smooth. We explored and described the textures by using our senses. We ended the week by reading the Gruffalo and making ‘Terrible Tusks Fruit Kebabs’ for our snack.

Indoor focus – The children have been busy reading and acting out a range of well know stories such as ‘Room on the Broom’, ‘What the Ladybird Heard’, ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’, ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and ‘Owl Babies’ along with making up their own stories. They have been making grand scale train tracks, role playing in the home corner and cafe, making tasty treats with the playdough amongst many other things throughout the week.

Outdoor focus – We have enjoyed the weather this week and the children have been busy in the mud kitchen, acting out stories, completing obstacle courses, playing in the sand and exploring ‘gloop’ (cornflour and water), making and extending ball / water runs using available resources.

Forest School – We had an open Forest school session on Thursday where the children could come and explore the area, they particularly liked looking for minibeasts and making bird feeders using cheerio’s and pipe cleaners. This is a good way to get the children use to the area before starting forest school sessions next term. We will continue to do this each week on a Thursday.

Maths focus – This week we have been working on cardinality and counting, where we have supported the children to understand that the cardinal value of a number refers to the quantity, or ‘howmanyness’ of things it represents. For example at group times the children have played games such as rolling a dice, recognising or counting the number of dots and then representing the number by using loose parts. Another game they enjoyed was called ‘Hidden Jewels’ where the teacher put three cups over one, two, three jewels, then the teacher lifts and replaces a cup and challenges the children to say how many there are. The teacher then swaps the cups around and when they stop they ask the children if can they point to the cup with ‘three’ jewels. The teacher then lifted the cup to see if children can instantly say whether they are right.

Phonic focus – This week the children have been exploring environmental sounds, during group times we have challenged the children to listen for clues as we described a farm animal but not told them its name. For example: this animal has horns, four legs and a tail. The teacher then asked them to say which animal it and what noise the animal might make. Once they were familiar with the game, the children took the part of the adult and described the animal for the other children to name. We also have been encouraging them to make up simple sentences in songs and stories and act them out talking in greater detail about sounds, for example acting out:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall (bump, crash, bang!)
All the King’s horses and all the King’s men (gallop, gallop, gallop)
Couldn’t put Humpty together again (boo, hoo, boo, hoo, boo, hoo).

Core Song – If you’re happy and you know it 😊

Poem – Cup of Tea

Here’s a cup
And here’s a cup
And there’s a pot of tea
Pour a cup and pour a cup
And have a drink with me

*Don’t forget to ask your child if they can remember the actions.

Reminders / Information

– Medical – We have had a reported case of impetigo, this is very contagious but not usually serious. At Nursery School we follow the NHS / DfE guidelines where it states that impetigo stops being contagious 48 hours after you start using hydrogen peroxide cream or antibiotics prescribed by a GP or pharmacist, or when the patches dry out and crust over (if you do not get treatment). So if your child is being treated for impetigo or has signs and symptoms please keep them off Nursery for the first 48 hours after they start treatment, or when the patches have dried out and crusted over. Here is the NHS link for more information – https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/impetigo/

– Lost property – If you have lost any items of clothes, please check the lost property table in lobby area by the internal door. Please can you name everything as this makes it so much easier at the end of the day.

– Lending library – We have a lending library, this is located in the lobby area just outside the internal door, we ask your that if your child choose a book, you sign it out and when back in when you return it (the book is on the table by the lending library).

– Parking – Can we please ask that you do not use the staff car park to drop off your child, this also means parents dropping off and waiting. The access to the car park is a private driveway that is used by our neighbours and there is no parking here or in the private road in front of their houses. We have worked really hard to build positive relationships with our neighbours over the last year, but last week there seems to have been some confusion. I know our parking situation is not ideal but you can park up ‘Fox Close’ or use the Co-op carpark which is a short distance to Nursery School. We all really appreciate your cooperation in this matter. If parking continues to be an issue we will have to put measures in place to monitor the situation moving forwards.

Wishing you a super weekend.

Best wishes

Zoe

Hi All

Last week the children continued to settle back into Nursery School, for some children settling in happens quickly and for others it may take a little longer. If your child is unsettled at drop off or throughout the session we will work with you on an individual basis to ensure that we support you and your child in the best way we can over.

Overview – ‘All about me’ and ‘My favourite things’.

Group times: The children enjoyed coming together for group times with their key person, throughout the week we were introducing new members of the group, getting to know one another’s names through discussions, games and songs. We were talking about the weather, days of the week and counting how many children were in their group each day. The older children were great at helping to show and support our new children with our routines and behaviour expectations at Nursery School.

Enhancements:

Our ‘Wow’ activity: If the children wanted to they had the chance to make fresh orange juice with Marlena last week, they talked about where the oranges come from, the process from orange to juice and their personal favourite juices. The children took it in turns to use the juicer and used their senses to to describe the experience using new vocabulary they had learnt from the activity.

Inside: The children were busy been exploring the art workshop and creating their own masterpieces, using their imagination in the role play areas, using their fine motor skills to use tweezers in the sand, experimenting with measure in the water tray, reading, experimenting with the musical instruments and being creative with the playdough.

Outside: The children had fun creating ball / water runs, setting up and completing obstacles, painting, drawing, taking turns on the bikes / scooters, constructing with the large wooden blocks, climbing, balancing, exploring and playing games.

Poem of the week – Chop Chop

Chop, Chop, Choppity Chop.
Cut off the bottom and cut off the top.
What there is left, we put in the pot.
Chop, Chop, Choppity Chop.

– Ask you child if they can remember the actions.

Reminders:

– Thank you for those of you who have already sent in family photos, if you have yet not had chance please do as the children love to share their photos and explain who is who and what they are doing.

– Snack: Any weekly snack donation is welcome on any day of the week. We ask for any fruit, vegetables and savoury snacks such as crackers, bread sticks or rice cakes.

-Look out for memos for your child being a focus child as we are starting this from this week and really value your input. We have 3-4 children a week as focus so your child will have a week either this term or next. Then again in the Spring and Summer term. The week after your child has been a focus child your key person will arrange a parental call with you to have a catch up to discuss how your child is doing and look at next steps.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Best wishes

Zoe 😊

Hi All We have all had a lovely first week back, it has been great to see our returning children settle in well and welcome some of our new children during their settling-in visits. We look forward to welcoming more of our new children next week 😊The children have been busy exploring the environment inside […]
